What You’ll Learn
History of Boro: Explore its origins and cultural significance, with vintage examples from Japan.
Mending Techniques: Repair garments using both modern and vintage fabric scraps.
Sashiko Stitching: Master this traditional Japanese embroidery to strengthen and decorate fabrics.
Decorative Stitches: Practice running stitch, backstitch, herringbone, and more.
Appliqué & Reverse Appliqué: Add layers and texture to your work.
What’s Included
All materials: Sashiko needles, thread, and fabric scraps.
Vintage Boro textiles for inspiration, brought back from Japan by your tutor.
