Ready to blend creativity with classic technique? In this inspiring workshop, you'll master both free-form and traditional patchwork to create your own stunning star motif cushion cover. It’s the perfect way to transform forgotten fabric scraps into a beautiful and unique home accent.
This is a fantastic, satisfying project for expanding your skills, giving you a taste of different patchwork styles. The best part? The flexible star design means every creation is as unique as its maker.
By the end of the day, you’ll leave with a finished 40cm x 40cm envelope cushion cover (or wall hanging, table runner, art work), ready to brighten up your home!
What You’ll Learn:
How to build a beautiful fabric palette
The fun of free-form block construction
Sewing perfect half-square triangles
Tessellation techniques for your unique design
Simple envelope cushion cover construction
Is This Course For You?
This workshop is perfect for you if you have some basic sewing experience. You need to be able to use a sewing machine confidently, but no quilting experience is necessary! You're also welcome to bring your own machine if you'd like.
What to Bring:
A piece of non-stretch fabric (approx. 50cm x 80cm) for the cushion back.
Optional: Two or three special non-stretch fabric pieces or scraps you’d love to include.
What We Provide:
✂ A sewing machine for you to use (or use your own!)
✂ All the threads you'll need
✂ A wide and wonderful variety of scrap fabrics to work with
✂ All the necessary tools, like scissors and rotary cutters
✂ Expert, friendly guidance from start to finish
N.B. Please note that a cushion pad is not provided.
